"carved in stone" by evolutionhotline

In a somewhat experimental style, the author
challenges our perceptions of death or the lack thereof.
"would you see it if i showed you
a timeless world screaming"

Would you want to see? Read it and find out.

the death of a... by ColonelFitz
"the death of a..." by ColonelFitz

This is a cleverly crafted piece which weaves
together two poems in a loop that is seamless. An
interesting and fun read for anyone who loves
magnetic poetry.

House of Good SenseI want crawl inside
a cleft in your
word-house
& live among people
who don't know
me much.
Sleep awkward
under typewritten words—
the print mistakes
my constellations
the white page,
my passion diffused.
In a world of
good sense
like the static on
old echocardiograms,
cities like
beautiful people
walking across
the Hollywood sign,
I could be small—
circle myself
into austerity.
I wouldn't shake
from the lapse
of cigarettes
or my
centrifuge heart.
I could be
the antithesis
of vanity—
no mirrors
to see
the future inside
like film screens.

"House of Good Sense" by schriftsteller

Excellent. The structure flows in with the theme
and context very well. It's brilliant how fragmented it
is which contradicts the title. Excellent use of lexis too.
A refreshing poem.

"Letters Of A War" by kidsatplay

The contrasting tone of the two narrators of this
piece shows the skill of this writer well. There is a
believable creation of a small Edwardian civilization,
with all the glory of war invoked. This then contrasts
with the reality of the trenches, which hints towards some
of the trench poetry, carrying all the darkness of the time.

"The End Of The World" by fickle-writing

A very intelligent, laugh-out-loud funny piece that
examines a radical chain of thought involving who
would be on top if the world came to an end; the
Cockroaches or Wal*Mart employees. Brilliantly
written, and something that simply must be read.
