"for Stephen" by HaikuKitty
HaikuKitty takes an interesting spin on the
usual haiku form.  Here, she presents two pieces
of a 'linked haiku' and through her unique layout
manages to combine them in a way that even
normal linked verse has a hard time matching.
The powerful images she invokes here are matched
only by the emotions they are carried along by.

Omega~Omega
The first and the last of the ignorant will dance in the blush,
How much does it take to humiliate them?
I love to torment them,
When they said  "God help me" they didn't mean me,
We went on playing this game,
I'm tired of these fucking rules,
I'm tired of being one of these needy sheep,
If I had any integrity would I stand a chance?
I was exhausted and disappointed that I couldn't satisfy my own demons,
I am the end all,
I will sit here, comfortable in the blush,
eating ladyfingers and chocolate,
The sound of the droning singing in the church,
Will keep me entertained for a while.

"Omega" by Script-Interactive
A tantalizing peek into experimental surrealism,
this piece is reminiscent of parochial romance
leaving you unfulfilled yet satisfied at its end.
Script-Interactive paints a vivid picture with few words
and strong emotion. Excellent read!

WoodlandsThey called her “Queen of the Squirrels” as a schoolyard tease. No less, but more. Persecuted for being different, she fled from reality to join the forest as one. She spoke tapestry poetry to the trees, flowers, birds, and bees of the wood behind her home. Her heart sung gospel hymns of anarchy and dead enemies whilst she played leapfrog with the stream. Sunlight made her cry. Heaven’s tears evoked exaltations from her tiny mouth.
She would spend hours in the forest hiding from the other boys and girls. They always chased her with sticks, throwing stones at her oversized pink parka or smearing mud across her tattered hand-me-down sweaters.
“It’s not her fault she’s unique,” her mother would say. “The other children just don’t understand. Don’t worry, though. She’ll grow out of it in time.”
Yet the little freak-girl never did.
As her years on Earth increased, so did her time in the forest. She had a kingdom of her own in that

"Woodlands" by random-kumquats
This quirky piece is well written, with some
clever images and an unusual positioning of science
and religion. It comes together neatly to intrigue
the reader, providing a very interesting read.

Our MomentI'm about to start my nightly ritual. The music's playing. The supplies are ready. Knowing you are still awake I'm slightly nervous. Tense. Perhaps that's why my hands are shaking. Why it takes more pressure than usual to pierce my skin with the super sharp razor blade. Perhaps it was just Fate that made the blade sink deeper than ever before. And God only knows why I, for the first time ever, uttered a sound during my ritual.
I'm not sure which deity played their hand in having you walk into my room at that particular second, but the moment you stepped through my door and took in the scene time seemed to stop.
I was looking down at the blood welling in the cut across my arm, trickling into a drop just about to fall when I glanced up and caught your eyes. In that moment it seemed that everything had become clear. I could see the pieces fall into place in your head. In that seemingly endless moment in time you saw me how I saw myself. You finally realised how I'd been coping with every

"Our Moment" by MirroredSadness
It's when you read this piece that you
understand the cruelty in life; the separation
of a mother and her child by heart.

Though the piece may be about a more negative topic,
the emotion that fills the reader while reading is amazing.
A piece worth taking the time to read, for all those who
know even a shred of the French language.
