Write and Revise Part 2

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 14, 2012, 8:05 AM

To Revise

This portion of the contest is open to anyone who is not judging. It is best f you have already submitted something to revise in the first part, but if not you can note =VertigoArt  with the piece and he will determine whether or not you may participate  with that piece. Ideally the piece you are revising is a free write that you are taking from conception to perfection, but any piece that is  not polished fully will do.

The winner of the first portion of this contest will be on even ground with everyone else in this portion.

:star: The deadline for entries is December 7, 2012 :star:

Don't suppose you'd be willing to extend it? I'm almost finished, but it's finals week, and I really wanted to enter the second half of this!

Quick question, please reply ASAP on account of the deadline:

To what extent can the piece be revised exactly? For example so long as the original spirit of the piece is kept in place but its practically re-written, would it still be applicable for the second half of the contest?

The first half of the contest didn't have a length restriction on prose, alack. Looks like I'll have to revise something else.

I'm in the same boat. I wrote nearly 3500 words. :faint: Revision is one thing, but I'd like to have a story left when I'm done. :XD:

I'm hoping to make an early start on this and just thought of something. I've got some really helpful comments on the first version of my entry: if we submit the revised version and people make further suggestions, is it okay to change it again (provided it's still before the deadline)?

If the point of this contest is to take a hastily-written piece and improve it as much as possible, I'm guessing that would be alright, but it seemed worth checking. I'm guessing others--particularly those who may not have got anything in for Part 1--might also be interested to know for sure.

Yes, that would be fine, so long as all revisions end on December 7th. :)
