The Literature Community ExperimentThis is a typical example of a ^Beccalicious shower pondering! The idea of this is to try and bring together as many people as possible all in one journal, but not for the sake of making a big number, but to encourage interaction and share useful tidbits. We often say the "literature community" has drifted apart over the past few years and this is just one attempt to try get people to come back together. It's a little hippy, perhaps a far-fetched idea, which is why I am calling it an "experiment". This could be successful and could be a complete fail- only you guys and your efforts can decide its fate!

Please read this before submitting a suggestion:
To submit a suggestion, please look under our current admins http://dailylitdeviations.deviantart.com/journal/23472040/ and submit the deviation to one of them.  When submitting, please include the category (Prose, Poetry, Collaboration, Foreign) and the date in the subject line.

Please submit your suggestion to only one category admin at a time to help us avoid confusion. A deviation can only be featured once.
A deviant may only be featured once every 30 days.  Exceptions may be made to this rule, but they will be on a case by case basis.

Submit Your News to CRLiterature!Now you can submit your literature community news directly to #CRLiterature's journal! We're super excited about this because it allows us to streamline our news. Time-sensitive activities are less likely to fall through the cracks, and deviants will have to click through less stuff to find your news. Your article will go directly to watcher and member inboxes allowing them to see the headline and description.
As a hub this is a great step in the right direction. Watchers will have an easier time discovering news, activities, and events outside of their watch list. Instead of figuring out if you're watching all the right people and hunting down your lit news, it will come to you.
If you're newer, or not as well known, to the literature community, submitting will help you reach more active and interested deviants. In turn, it's an opportunity to increase your participation levels. :eager: And you know we're all about participation!

Part of being a Community Volunteer is featuring wonderful deviations as Daily Deviations, but the keyword is community. I need you guys, the community, to tell me what you like to read. Share your favorite stories and scribbles with the rest of the community by suggesting it for a feature. If you adored it, share it with us! :la:

DLD Summer Contest: RESULTS!Apologies for the wait...
We had 59 entries to the Summer Contest. People connected their characters through carnivorous stones, lost hats, curtains, magic shoes and much more.  The stories were touching, funny, sad, and outrageous. I want to thank everyone who put in time and effort to make these entries shine. It was extraordinarily difficult for the judges to score and choose just three winners (particularly with one of them having no access to the internet for a month ^^;), but we did it! And here are the results.

A purple stained money note connects the lives of a depressed church-goer, his priest, and a homeless man in Forgiveness Economics by *brassteeth. It is a beautiful tale which illustrates the true web of connections we all share.

well, i just went to the dA group search page and typed in "fan fiction" and got a sizable list of groups that appear to be dedicated to just fanfics: [link]

also, my group :iconda-literature: does not distinguish between fan fiction and prose, so you would be welcome to submit your fanfic art there.

The link here goes to the wrong journal entry. It should be for July's entry, where my guidelines are, and they changed. Please correct the link [asap?] and also say it'll always be on my current month's journal -- my guidelines will not change again. General DLD guideines are also there. THank you! ^^;

If I could make a suggestion for this journal: Maybe link to any suggestion guidelines each CA has posted on their page? That way when we want to make a suggestion to someone, we have some idea of what they look for in a feature, also any special noting procedures they would like followed.
