Three-way road of desperate struggles by Shuriken95

A meticulously crafted rumination.
The visual element adds a tangible
element to the words, to create a vivid
portrait of the struggle with mental illness.

Artificiality by Ad-Kins

This short, inspiring piece is sure
to leave readers haunted and pondering.
Reality comes and goes very quickly; things
are constantly changing.  Perhaps this,
above all else, is why we cling so fiercely
to the things that never leave or die.

this is how by icy-moon-shadow

According to icy-moon-shadow,
all ships are making deals with the devil
when they leave the port; it's just a matter
of time before the devil comes searching

Souls and SparklesTo write something that is meaningful to someone else, you must first write something that is meaningful to yourself.
There are a thousand rooms in each person's mind, and each mind is a maze because it has been tangled. The hallways are criss-crossing and clumping, like long hair in the wind. Society has made it so.
We all have impure thoughts. Things that would make us "bad", unequal, or imperfect. Thoughts that make us different in gloriously unusual ways. We are born into the world unashamed, but then we are taught the unspoken words. Words that are rules. Words like normal, like good and bad, ugly and pretty. We are taught that if we do not fit the rule of "good", we are bad. We are evil, we are tainted, and so we are unwanted.

luring us deep inside ourselves to
the secret room we keep safe and
hidden, reminding us it's the one
door we need to open, our hearts."

Somewhere Only We KnowSomewhere Only We Know

"Here it is," Jesse's dad called from the driver's seat of the car. "She's old but we're only staying here temporarily; just until our house is bug free."
He and his mother both got out of the car and paid no mind to his father's talk. The Lawrence family was used to moving between houses and had never lived in one house for more than three months. Because of it, in all his ten years, Jesse had never made a single friend.
Jesse pushed a lock of his short-cut black hair out of his eye and surveyed the house. The old mansion was a big as he'd ever seen, but it had obviously seen better days. The wood on most of the house was a faded brownish green, and he spotted at least half a dozen spots where the house would surely leak on a rainy day. He closed his green eyes and tried to envision what the manor would have looked like in its prime. To say the least, it would have beaten his house by far, and theirs was the nicest he had seen prior to this

Somewhere Only We Know  by Midget8000

A heart-warming fantasy
story that shows that
friendship knows no bounds.
