A beautiful poem telling about how two people
can become different, laying next to each other
in the dark. The author uses beautiful, contrasting
images, comparing the female thoughts, to the males.
A calming, and almost eerie dreamlike piece.

the modern air condition you can't fall
in love with
a man
for his
handwriting
but his hand
writing
is another
thing
entirely

we propose to it
admiringly

we make
bows
of our-
selves

we make
new words
for fire
and we

make our real
families
strangers

we take
real
strangers
to bed

bodiless skulls
cacklin' madly
at the
necks
who've lost
their heads

Utter brilliance in it's finest form;
`YouInventedMe's play on words is absolutely
fabulous. Anyone who reads this is sure to love it.

Of Star Guts and Satellites -So;
what is it like, learning to grow?

-Well, first, there's a spark:
a kick in the core
of your nerves, like a light
blinking on through the dark. Then,
you've got to think
yourself into the part; ignore your
splintered limbs and learn to stretch,
fearlessly. Like roots into earth.
Question and answer.

-Does it hurt?

-Only being fearless. That's like having flint
stitched into your spine. But time,
you'll find, will heal these scars –
ours is the business of rebirth. Even cradled
in the hold of our half-formed words
we manage to pluck
the stars from our diaphanous skies,
and the chewed jewels from our throats.
That'

Performance poetry is very difficult to write,
particularly when it is to be performed by two people.
~angel-in-pieces did a wonderful job with creating
distinct and compelling voices in this stirring piece
about life, growth, and what it all means.

Arman and the Flaming Dragon It was the fortieth year in the reign of King Delnadio. His royal graciousness saw fit to hold a most exquisite banquet in honor of this landmark occasion, inviting all in his kingdom be they commoner, noble, or other to attend.

Other, you ask? That’d be my kind. You know, the ones that keep the noble life worth living. The ones behind the scenes. Or rather, behind your chair with a knife.

Anyway, there was the banquet. Everyone far and wide came to the great halls of the castle to partake in the merriment. The privileged few of the higher classes showed up in their carriages and whatnot, dressed as sharply as they dared, although most

Sometimes that princess isn't always that pretty,
and maybe slaying the dragon turns out not really
to be worth the trouble. A humorous piece of fiction
about attention, wanted or not.

Red Terror Red. The colour of revolution and the working class. The colour of stop, wrong and no. A red flower, from a girl in a red dress, as a gift to a young Cossack. Generations of red flags waving in streets, with cries of change, freedom and franchise.

The colour of love. Of lust. Of lost. Love and hate, passionate words in their own right. Both bare blood. Both bare joy. A child or a murder. Birth and death. Alpha and Omega.

A red rose, sharp thorns with red beads dripping. Crisps petals fall towards the earth. Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. Leaves on a dry autumn morning. A flame across a whole nation. Ideas spread like wild fire.

Burnt dreams

An interesting and powerful piece about
the color red and its connotations, but also
its connotations during the Russian Revolutions
and the power that the single color portrayed.

Thank you for for the second feature. It's really nice to get recognition. Can I request to know who suggested it so I can thank them? Or is that not allowed?

If no-one is listed as the suggester, you can assume that the admin who featured your work is the one to thank. Note them and ask if you like.
