pleading perpendicularchance is the antithesis
of importance.
things that matter
can be undone
by the immeasurable
& unpredicted
it's nobody's fault.
you & i,
we are
winners & losers
in entropy.
i might have loved someone else
if i never met you
but i didn't
& that’s
important.
all unparallel lines
intersect at only one point,
so let's revel
in our small eternity
because we never will again.
it's nobody's fault.
lines just go.
rain just
comes
& we cannot help
but stand in the wet wet
naked or fully clothed.
nobody comes home dry.
of course i want
to be with you
but love knows nothing of hurricanes
who do not care who they destroy.
two unparallel lines intersect
at only one point,
& they keep going after that
for an infinity
we cannot calculate
statistically
we have one chance,
but i want you
illogically
& that's
important

pleading perpendicular by ignotism

This poem, by ignotism,
takes mathematical theories and merges them
with human relationships in a beautiful way.

In Dark Silencea pile of exiled leaves
and a grief-stricken moonset
capture
the secrets of fireflies.
A stranger to gravity, sometimes
trees know how to be brave,
standing tall
where the stars collide.

In Dark Silence by betwixtthepages

A seamless title poem
from a skilled poet.

This is a little late - I noticed that my poem was stolen and posted on a now removed account. I posted "The Perfect Equation" on a critique form, the one posted here is the final edit. It was literally ripped the same day I posted it on reddit.

Proof: www.reddit.com/r/Poetry/commen…. I also, have a published copy for the contest it won at a local college if more proof is needed. I'd appreciate if this post was edited.
