Dendrophoroiwhite cotton dress
and apricot
sash –
bringer of fencebirds,
coaxer of beetles and
hardly more
than a child
in your
emperor
eyes;
rosen blush the
product of
Renoir's
brush
a Ptolemaic stare
to make wary
those never
destined
for portraits
on canvas
or coins
to think that
she is
serenaded
so,
that she has a
nightingale
her
own
to realise,
chastened,
you're a tree
that only
grows
in
Sicily.

"Dendrophoroi" by melodythelittlepony
Each small description puts together a much
bigger and more beautiful picture as melodythelittlepony
strings words of imagery together to show that
simplistic beauty can be breathtakingly halting.

"prayer." by Malinda-Rose
I am glad Mercy-Waters suggested
this lovely little piece for a feature. Humanity
can be found in many places, even in the
wise eyes of a bluebird.

Amber IrisI was the amber iris
In falling light
And I would climb a mountain
In order to face a new world
With the weight of countless memories
Held on a butterfly's wing
I close my eyes
And you remain nameless
Yet
I can feel your heartbeat
Through my palms
I close my eyes in the silence
Just to feel my breath
In the late hours
Faceless are we until the sun rises
Against the with-holding shadows
I was the amber iris
In falling light
And I would climb a mountain
In order to face a new world

“Amber Iris” by Vertigo84
Delicate and almost fragile there is an air of
calm, nostalgic compassion emanating from the
core.  Beautiful visuals and velvet language only
work to heighten the grace and flow of this piece..

"Your Voice Shook" by mhmimstellar
Only the best of writers can pull off a sad
story like mhmimstellar can. There is such
vulnerability and humanity between these heartfelt
words, and no one will fail to be moved.

MindConsciousness is nothing but a blip in infinite mathematics
Why not call these blips souls and the infinite mathematics god?

"Mind" by priestofknowledge
At first glance, it seems like a few simple
sentences. Yet, it makes us question its purpose, meanings,
and even ourselves. It bends and boggles our mind,
until we finally understand it. It is a surprisingly
intelligent piece of literature.
