I Don't Mind (DD!)Your push is leviathan to my spine;
Melting secrets despite me
But sir, don't spoil me
Reeling over in my ocean corners
Filling, sprawling my cortex so I scatter
Under your wick and nozzle
"Oh, to see you like this"
Words; almost make me forget
"Swallow"
Waves sport crashes against the throng of my soul
And while you seemed soothed
Your fingers betrayed thee
I noticed, I did notice
Yet…
I'm telling you this
Because I don't mind

I Don't Mind by IsabellaMichel

The overwhelming sensory imagery
in this poem leads to a rather sensual,
yet secretive, snapshot into a rather
 poignant mind seemingly constantly
 romantically aware of its surrounding.

From the suggester: "A beautifully
crafted poem that conveys the sorrow of
trying to belong in a new place."

Where Winter Winds BlowIt used to be, in winter, the grounds would grow so hard we'd have to wait until the thaw to bury the bodies.  But I guess, at some point, someone grew tired of the dead sleeping so near, and came up with the idea to dig the graves in advance.  Row upon row, hole upon hole, waiting.
We'd already buried two this winter: Frida, from the Halberton farmstead up the bend, and old Maddox Taylor from the butchery.  Two holes filled, barely visible from our back porch.
Douglas Greene had skipped out on a burial all-together by dropping through a hole in the ice, sealing his fate with the waters.  We'd held his wake by the edge of the lake, shivering despite our bundles, then rushed home to heat ourselves with warm liquids and fire.  Only Jade had wanted to stay.
Later that day, when us kids, tired of the indoors, braved the weather and trekked outside, I spotted her rope with my eagle eyes.  I knew it led from the tombstone to the gra

Dear x** for official reasons these people do don't do don't maybe exist**
Dear x

You are my savior and my destroyer. So many times you've kicked me into the bottomless pit and laughed as I fell from view. Only a few hours later to send a paper aeroplane tied with some ambiguous message, for me to misinterpret and ride back out again. Still, you make my heart run marathons and bright words dance in front of my eyes. With you I want to break all the rules in the book, I want to smash the sky to pieces and just stare in to oblivion with you.

A series of letters full of
fantastic imagery and a heaping portion
 of style.
