for all to hear.Unseen pianist,
Play to the phantoms
Of summer, a harpsichord
Of tolling bells, abundant sound
Gracing the linoleum
Where discarded beer bottles
Poise, forgotten.
Play of rock-strewn rivers
And standing tall beneath a horizon,
Clouds grazing the song
As it ascends, rebuilding Babel
With each note, each keystone.
Bleat into the heavens,
Where we all die & song amplifies.
for all to hear. by ~BittersweetObsession

The StacksIt's like a deep forest in here, he whispers as he's strung along, hand entwined by the resolute talons of one small enough to crush if he got in the mood. But that day's not today. Today, they're flying past the narrow end of the library stacks, the rhythm a hypnotizing backdrop in heads already swimming with sunshine. She leads by some sort of intuition she doesn't fully understand or explain, as if the dust in the air is speaking a dead language she was fortunate enough to study on a whim one summer in grade school. So he follows, watching her hair whip around as she looks back to make sure he's still there, despite the grip on his hand.

Sometimes you find yourself immersed in more
than literary passion when you enter the library.
This short, tense vignette is written with just
the right balance of heat, humor, and flair.

La coupe du vainqueur
Je saurai être douce, mais aussi pas trop sage,
Effrontée ou câline, j'en ferai mon langage,
Je choisirai les mots qui toucheront ton cur
Et je te ferai boire à la coupe du vainqueur.
