SupportIf you are the world,
I am Atlas. My shoulders
tire of this ruin.

“Support” by Cibbwin

Sometimes a person can put the weight of the
world upon your shoulders. They weigh you down,
make life a bit drastic, and often don't support
you in return. I can totally relate to Cibbwin's
poem "Support." The haiku is short format, but
not a word is wasted.

“grotesque arabesques” by yourpleasantdarkness

This poem is a vast amalgamation of brilliantly
structured lines, fantastically compelling imagery
and overwhelming emotion.  One does not know
whether to drift along in the chaotic rhythm or
stop and worship the the visions assembled.

Unsere ZeitDeine Augen sagen es deutlich
Sie halten mich absichtlich fest
Erinnern mich an vergangene Zeiten
Hand in Hand - du hast jemand andres
Unsere Zeit kehrt nie mehr zurück

"Unsere Zeit" by Lemonlini

Their time has passed and now one of them has another.
A short piece about lost love, written in German. It is a
beautiful read, especially as it is Lemonlini's first poem.

Mucking OutMucking Out
During the summer you're supposed to stop mucking out. The wheelbarrow gets taken to the hose and washed down, removing the inevitable thick brown sludge that has hardened to a crust, to show the sky blue underneath. It slots into place against the wall, and lays there to grow dust and cobwebs until the third day of November, when it will be needed again.
My wheelbarrow has never been clean for long. It is June, exams are over, and it is hot. One of those blissful days when the sun shines down on the tarmac and dries the mud, which dusts about all over the yard and coats your bare arms in a fine layer of dirt. People around me smile and laugh; the little girls are out on their ponies. We all slave through the bitter winter for these few pleasant months when the horses live in the fields at night, and we can enjoy having time to ride.
My wheelbarrow sits by the stable door, propping it open so the sunlight can stream in and bounce off the white painted walls. A bee fl

"Mucking out" by Kitri-du-Lac

A delightfully well-written piece about the necessary
evils of life. Kitri-du-Lac delivers a witty and intriguing
piece that makes for a light and beautiful read!

The Ring"It must have belonged to someone very rich."
"Maybe even a Queen!"
Two boys, barefoot and in tattered overalls stood in the middle of a dirt road, staring down at the ground. A ring glittered gaudily up at them, a big red stone set in a thick gold band with much smaller sparkly-white stones set all around it.
"Stupid. There aren't any Queens in America."
One dusty toe reached out to nudge the ring before jerking back.
"Dunno. Maybe it was a Princess instead."
The other boy seemed to accept this with a nod. "Maybe."
Quiet reigned over the pair, two heads bumping against each other, one orangey-red and the other dirty blonde.
It was a bright summer day but neither of them were even thinking about the cool swimming hole waiting for their visit. The idea of digging for worms and heading to the fishing haunt didn't even enter their minds.
"My momma would love to have a pretty bauble like that."
"Any girlie would. But we'd have to tell her where we got it."
"Hm. Yeah. Nobody'll believe us i

"The Ring" by this-silent-scream

Written in a simple and pleasing manner, this piece
manages to capture perfectly the actions and voice of
young boys full of imagination, whilst teasing the reader
with a sharp ending, and a title that creates anticipation
of horror and fantasy epics.
