dance or dieit hasn't been her day, her week, nor her month
so she's thinking it probably won't be her year,
and she's giving up,
is just going to throw her hands up
and give herself over to spinning in crazy kaleidoscope circles
where the shapes form the past from memories that dont matter anymore.
+
she's sending her broken heart and crushed dreams
up to the stars on a firework
with all the love letters she never had the courage to send
and the pleas she almost choked on.
and when they finally explode,
no one can ever say that heart-break isn't beautiful.
+
the music coming through the speakers keeps her heart pumping in rhythm
with the poundingpulsing of her blood
and she feels more alive now than she can ever remember.
she's losing control, is throwing it away
and it's alright because control is overrated anyway
and the beat of the music is so much better than crying.
+
you might not know it, but the good life is sleeping where you fall.

“dance or die” by latuacantante007

The suggester writes "A gentle, pensive piece that is
introspectively expressive and filled with effective
tender imagery."  Upon inspection, the reader will
certainly agree, and find they have become imm-
ersed in the many layers of this wonderful piece.

FerienFERIEN
Auf unserer Fahrt
In Richtung Ewigkeit
Gehöre ich dir
Und du gehörst nur mir
Wir kehren nicht um
Und wir halten nie an
Außer um uns zu lieben
Im Sonnenaufgang

"Ferien" by SeriousJokes

Short, sweet and to the point. That is exactly what
this German poem is. Though short, it still attracts
the attention of the reader. A great accomplishment
on SeriousJokes part.

The TeacherWe met without formality. He was finishing college and I was a freshman. There were no common threads between us, but we managed to win each other’s trust in days. He became an instant necessity, and I am sure, I was no less the same.
It was a long night, just got out from a relationship. Painful wouldn’t even describe it, it was beyond pain, it was a curse. So I wallowed myself over the net, hoping to crash into something that would counter my night’s mantra, men are morons.
My fingers were busy catching up with my thoughts, I was preoccupied with the different windows that I am talking with, and each window, I was a different person. The splendor of the chat room, the power of technology, the advantage of the anonymous were the new lawless humming in my thoughts. I was able to keep my balance, I forgot to collapse.
We were chatting for days and it went on for weeks and longer, that I decided to stop counting. That time, he was the only thing that was constant. Each nig

"The Teacher" by LeIdz

A frank, honest and emotional recount of a friend-turned
lover. The feelings in this piece are realistic and are written
with such clarity and realism that it turns what would be an
ordinary romance into a great read.

"The Adventurer" by Nuraya

A beautiful and incredibly sad piece about an Adventurer,
one who turns out to be an unsuspecting character, but
through the use of amazing detail, the end is emotional
for any reader.
