SunshineDrench the rays of the sun in carosine
I want to see the moon tonight

"Sunshine" by TalhinxovxL3v1tat10n

People often underestimate the power of one line. We even
forget that when we read a piece, it is frequently one or two
lines that truly captivates us. This poem consists solely of
two lines, forcing us to focus on each word written. The
imagery is effective and successfully creates a short,
simple piece with impact.

"Waitress: A Tribute of Sorts" by IAmPhoenixMoth

This poem moves at the pace of a busy diner; the language
echoes its content, too, with its rushing into strings and
boldness. A very real, very sympathetic homage to those
daily shadows who are essential to the inner workings of
our society.

dissection of dreams. She would dream of blue winters
and glorious cities filled with love.
She would dream of soft dirt
beneath her back and imagine
what the sun would look like
from above. She wrapped her
thoughts in pretty pink ribbon
and stored them away for a
rainy day. When she woke in
the morning, she would devour
words for breakfast and wash
it down with the morning sounds.
She was thoughtful, she was dirty,
she was obscene. She was bright,
and dull, she was grass yet she
resembled the heavens. She
mourned for every breath that
we exhaled and hoped that one
day it would be something more
extravagant. And most importantly,
she was the most beautiful person
i had ever met.

"dissection of dreams." by nighttimebeautiful

There is just the right amount of optimism in this poem as it
takes on a dream-like state of imagery with a particular focus
on the colours that colour the narrator and the character's world.

"14. Inevitable" by allieweasley

The unusual narrator of this piece provides a fascinating
look at the mourning process. Through snippets of a life
we get the full story, and learn to feel for all characters
within the piece. At the same time, the narrator never
breaks from the difficulties of their physical place. An
extremely complex piece of characterisation.

pressure "What on earth are you doing?"
"I'm a tech. I'm teching things," He told me without looking up from his hands.
"Huh?"
He paused, twisting around to face me with an odd look in his eyes. "I'm about to blow this place to bits."

Watching the mines go off from the air was like watching goose bumps ripple over skin.
"Tech to base, mission complete." I heard several other confirmations, including the one from the person up in the copter, manning the feed I was watching.
"Base to tech, confirmed." I heard in my ear. The people around me took off their headsets and began to leave.
I looked around for something- a reason he might have had, like a target. There were only trees. "Why?"
"It's a test. I'm testing new weaponry. No one lives here, right? It's no major place?"
"Hm-mm, not here."
He let me watch him. It was a land mine. He was chomping on a piece of gum like it was nothing, he laughed at how tense I was. The explosion was something else.

Back at base I sat, half liste

"pressure" by ClamShellHeart

A great sci-fi story about Pressure, a Tech with a given name,
and Eleanor. The writing flows well between the present and
flashbacks, and sets the base for a potentially amazing story.
